Frequently Asked Questions

A: We are requiring you to bring:

  • Complete Scouting America Field Uniform with OA sash.
  • Scouting America Medical Form
  • Tent, Ground Tarp, and appropriate sleeping gear
  • Personal gear & toiletries
  • Water Bottle
  • Any medications (Kept in the original bottle, in a bag with your name on it)
  • Clothing suited for the weather
    Work clothes including long pants, long sleeve shirt, and work gloves
  • Boots/ Comfortable work shoes (no open toes)
  • A backpack that can fit all of the above

B: Everything else is up to you, but here are some recommendations:

  • Flashlight
  • Sunscreen and Bug spray
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Shower equipment (towel, soap, shampoo, etc)
  • Do not bring Snacks/food. (Avoid attracting animals to your campsite/ Avoid becoming a mini-bear burrito)
  • More Information will be shared once available

C: Prohibited Items not permitted at SIE:

  • Video game devices
  • Sheath Knives
  • Matches
  • Tools (Halberd, Axe, Spear, McLeod, Adze, Pulaski, etc.)
  • Laser pointers
  • Wheeled luggage

Important: no alcohol, smoking materials, non-prescription drugs, weapons, firearms, or fireworks are permitted at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation or Section E13 events.

Everyone must bring a current BSA medical form part A & B with requisite signatures and a Activity Acknowledgement Form when they check in. If you are not an adult, please make sure to get the required signatures from a parent or guardian. Medical forms can be retrieved at the end of conclave if you are interested. All conclave attendees must sign the Section E13 Code of Conduct. All of these forms are required to be admitted into conclave.

Only Section & Service Lodge staff will be permitted on camp prior to 6pm on Friday. PLEASE do not arrive earlier than 6pm if you have not received clearance from the Section Leadership or Service Lodge Leadership. Check-in will begin at 6pm.

The following personal information is required at registration: first name, last name, gender, date of birth, email address, lodge,  honor level, address, and an emergency contact, their relationship to you, and their phone number. We will also ask you to indicate if you have mobility restrictions or special medical/dietary needs, which you may optionally answer to help us better service your needs, if any. 

During SIE you will be expected to do physical labor, this may involve lifting, walking, reaching, and other strenuous activity. If you are physically incapable of performing these activities, please contact the Section Chief, Fox G., and we will make adjustments according to your abilities.

While there are no secret ceremonies in Scouting (in accordance with National Policy) we HIGHLY DISCOURAGE nonmembers from attending ceremonies, as you may be going through it at some time in the future. The SIE cost covers the cost of supplies and the cool stuff you get during your experience. Including:

  • OA Sling Backpack
  • OA Journal with Pen 
  • OA Admonition Coin 
  • Luminary Neckerchiefs (if a Luminary)
  • New Member Guidebook (Youth) 
  • New Member Guidebook (Adult) 
  • Promise Card
  • Ceremonial items such as lighting, props, and attire
  • Food and meals throughout the weekend

Please Pay using the online registration system (NOAERS). Some Lodges require the scout to pay; others cover the cost from the Lodge budget. Please contact your Lodge Adviser for details.

Yes! any member in the Order of the Arrow no matter their Lodge or Section may register for any SIE. All are welcomed to Section E13 SIE. However, if other SIEs fit your schedule or are closer you may register for those SIEs.
